i have finally, finally arrived. but boy, what a letter! i saw the box on my desk after coming in to work. hwhat a pleasant surprise! (my favorite sentence, by the way, was the aside: "i betcha didn't know i knew the word 'specimens'...") 哈哈!
this morning mumma took a taxi to the airport, insisting that i not go with her. last night, as it's not a truly german experience unless you try the beer, we got a bottle of alcohol-free beer and sat around drinking and munching on peanuts after dinner. not bad.
